Senior Structural Engineer - NY, USA

Seeking Senior Structural Engineer in New York, NY (Hybrid)

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project with oversight from proposal phase to construction administration. 

Responsibilities

• Sign and seal drawings and specifications. Review and approve Issued For Construction package.

• Meet and collaborate with clients and represent the structural team. 

• Manage team of engineers and drafters. Support Senior Leadership and head of department team.

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates for different types of projects (new construction and rehabilitation) and structures such as buildings (commercial and industrial), facilities, flood mitigation, rail stations and substations.

• Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections

• Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience in Structural Engineering

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering

• Master’s degree is a plus.

• New York PE License

• AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, SAP 2000, ETABS, Bluebeam

• Working Knowledge of different standards and codes such ACI and ASCE, etc.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
